چکیده
Transient absorption and time-resolved fluorescence measurements in a wide temperature range are used to investigate the mechanism of charge carrier generation efficient organic solar cells based on PM6:Y6 donor–acceptor blend. The mechanisms differ significantly under excitation donor or acceptor. investigations reveal temperature-dependent interplay between formation interfacial transfer (CT) states intra-moiety CT acceptor, their separation into free carriers recombination. is ensured by over small energy barrier, which easily surmountable at room temperature. However, overall yield reduced recombination due thermally activated back electrons from acceptor via highest occupied molecular orbit (HOMO) levels, enabled offset HOMO levels

Electron transfer between biological molecules by thermally activated tunneling.
A theory of electron transfer between two fixed sites by tunneling is developed. Vibronic coupling in the individual molecules produces an activation energy to transfer at high temperatures, and temperature-independent tunneling (when energetically allowed) at low temperature. The model is compared with known results on electron transfer in Chromatium and in Rhodopseudomonas spheroides. It quan...
متن کاملElectron Microscopy of Organic Solar Cells Thermally Stabilized with Fullerene Nucleating Agents
Organic Solar Cells (OSCs) have a great potential for solar energy harvesting due to their low material cost and cheap production. The most common and promising type of OSC is the bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) OSC, which have shown power-conversion efficiencies of 8-10% [1]. The absorber layer in these OSCs consists of a mix of two phases; (i) a polymer, that serves as an electron donor, and (ii) a...
متن کاملElectron Transfer in Dye-Sensitized Nanocrystalline TiO2 Solar Cell
The dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) have been regarded as one of the most promising new generation solar cells. Tremendous research efforts have been invested to improve the efficiency of solar energy conversion which is generally determined by the light harvesting efficiency, electron injection efficiency and undesirable electron lifetime. In this review, various characteristics of dye-...
متن کاملA nonfullerene acceptor for wide band gap polymer based organic solar cells.
A new 1,8-naphthalimide based planar small molecular acceptor and two benzothiadiazole based wide band gap (WBG) polymer donors P1 and P2 were synthesized for nonfullerene organic photovoltaic cells (OPVs). Devices based on fluorinated polymer P2 achieved a highly improved PCE of 3.71% with an open circuit voltage (V(oc)) of 1.07 V, which is beyond the currently known levels for nonfullerene OP...

Charge generation and recombination dynamics in a blend film of a crystalline low-bandgap polymer, poly[(4,4-bis(2-ethylhexyl)dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]silole)-2,6-diyl-alt-(4,7-bis(2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)-4,7-diyl] (PSBTBT), and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) were studied by transient absorption spectroscopy. Upon photoexcitation of the PSBTBT absorption band at 800 ...
